Birth
Drag’n Thrust was established in the spring of 2009 when a group of players, with a myriad of experiences and a similar vision, came together and decided to create a competitive mixed Ultimate team with a fresh start. The leaders wanted this team to be competitive on the field, and friends off the field. During one of the team’s famous “hill and grill” practices, the physics of a disc was discussed. What are the four forces that act on a disc in flight? Gravity, Lift, Drag ‘n Thrust.
Results
Drag’n Thrust began fighting for the title in 2009 and fell just short of a nationals birth in their inaugural year. The following year, Drag’n Thrust re-focused and entered the series with renewed energy, and high expectations, finishing in the semifinals at the national championships. Since 2010, Drag’n Thrust has gone to nationals every year; winning three consecutive national titles (2013-15) and a world championship (2014). Drag’n Thrust remains hungrier than ever.
